Greetings in the name of our Maker, Jesus Christ!

THE OAKS is a ministry of World Impact, Inc. dedicated to serve the local Christian community through excellent facilities and effective programs. The camp's mission is to specifically provide quality programs for urban children and families from World Impact and other partner ministries. A distinctive of THE OAKS is the core staff who are full-time missionaries. These staff have responded to the Lord's call to minister to youth and families of the inner-city in a camp setting.

Students Experiencing Creation
For the last ten years the camp has provided quality Outdoor Education camp for middle school students in the Los Angeles area. During spring and fall seasons students attend our three to five day camps involving science-based classes, team-building activities, adventure elements, and experiential education of the local plants and animals of the California chaparral. As our facilities and staff have grown we have kept our commitment to developing young people from the city who have a heart for God and his creation.

Students leave the camp each year with lasting memories, stronger relationships with classmates and a greater sense of self-confidence, communication skills and fascination with God's amazing creation. For many, the opportunity to camp in a tent, sit in silence and solitude in a natural environment, observe the moons of Jupiter and explore the nocturnal environment will have been their first.

Your Opportunity to Invest in Urban Students
We are currently looking to raise the funds to sponsor the 5th and 6th Grade students from Los Angeles Christian School, a ministry of World Impact, to attend our Outdoor Education program the week of April 19th. These students do not have a ability to pay for this camp, and so we have structured our pricing accordingly and are pursuing funding these camps through donor giving.

The total cost for these two camps is $2200, at around $95 per camper. Would you consider sponsoring a student for an educational experience in God's creation they will not forget?
