Camp Grounds Coffee House Barista

The Camps Ground Coffee House team is seeking qualified individuals to fill the role of barista! Serving at the coffee house is extremely important to our camp experience. We take great pride in serving delicious, memorable beverages as well as maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Most of our shifts take place on Saturdays throughout the year, with a busier schedule during summer!
Responsibilities include ensuring that drinks are made in a timely manner for guests, providing friendly service, accurate use of the cash register, and maintaining a safe, clean and organized work space. Through the Coffee House at The Oaks our guests have the opportunity to enjoy great community and grow in their relationship with God. Applicants should possess cross-cultural skills and sensitivity. Must be 16 years or older and love coffee!

Archery Instructor

The archery team is seeking a qualified individual to fill the role of archery instructor this summer! Archery instructors are responsible for leading morning archery classes and free time archery sessions in the afternoon most days of the week and weekend, as well as maintaining all of our archery equipment and the archery range. Summer archery instructors are also expected to help in other areas camp as needed. At The Oaks staff engage guests and campers in a positive and friendly manner to guide them in a relationship building experience. This experience is designed to edify individuals, community relationships, and relationships with God. All necessary training is provided. Applicants should possess cross-cultural skills and sensitivity.

Accommodations

The Accommodations Team is looking for qualified individuals to fill service roles here at camp! Responsibilities include cleaning the facilities, restocking toiletries and janitorial supplies, collecting and emptying trash, laundering used linens and towels, reporting repair issues to maintenance, as well as preparing meeting rooms and guest dormitories for each new group. We take great pride in our beautiful setting and facilities and the accommodations crew provides our guests with the opportunity to enjoy great community and grow in their relationship with God through their service in God’s camp. Applicants must be able to stoop, kneel, bend, and lift as well as be on their feet for extended periods of time.

Adventure Activity Facilitators

The Adventure Team is looking for qualified individuals to fill the role of an Activity Facilitator for the many adventure elements here at The Oaks! Activity Facilitators are responsible for facilitating guests on both high and low challenge course elements, climbing, team building, laser tag, and paintball. Facilitation requires adhering to safe practices and industry standards as well as people skills. At The Oaks staff engage guests and campers in a positive and friendly manner to guide them in a relationship building experience. This experience is designed to edify individuals, community relationships, and relationships with God. All necessary training is provided (including First Aid and CPR). Applicants should be in excellent good physical condition and possess cross-cultural skills and sensitivity. During the summer, this position will also work in the Accommodations department on Sundays.

Food Service

The Oaks Food Service team is seeking qualified individuals to fill multiple roles including as a Team Leader, Line Cook, and Prep Cook for the summer. Serving in the kitchen extremely important to our camp experience. We take great pride in serving delicious, memorable meals as well as maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Responsibilities can include leading personnel, ensuring that food is delivered on-time for guests, food preparation, cooking delicious recipes, washing dishes, and maintaining a safe, clean and organized work space. Dining Hall

The Dining Hall team is seeking qualified individuals to fill service roles here at camp! Serving in the dining hall is extremely important to our camp experience. We take great pride in joyfully serving our guests as well as maintaining a safe and clean work environment. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining our dining room and its condiment and beverage bars, setting the tables, filling out the menu board, stocking proper eating utensils, receiving dirty dishes from guests as well as ensuring the dining hall bathrooms are clean. Through service in the dining hall at The Oaks our guests have the opportunity to enjoy great community and grow in their relationship with God.

Aquatics Instructor and Lifeguards

The Oaks Aquatics Team is seeking qualified individuals to fill lifeguarding positions here at camp! Serving at the pool is extremely important to our camp experience. At The Oaks staff engage guests and campers in a positive and friendly manner to guide them in a relationship building experience. This experience is designed to edify individuals, community relationships, and relationships with God. Lifeguard and aquatics instructors are responsible for ensuring the safety of The Oaks pool patrons by preventing and appropriately responding to emergencies, relaying and enforcing pool rules, assisting with pool maintenance tasks, and teaching swim lessons to our program campers. Applicants should be in excellent physical condition and possess cross-cultural skills and sensitivity.

Landscape

The Landscape crew at The Oaks is responsible for caring for established lawns, trees and plants as well installing new landscaping, gathering and removing litter and debris, maintaining drainage and irrigation systems, maintaining roads, sidewalks and fences, equipment maintenance, pest eradication, and maintaining a safe, clean and organized work space.
