The Currados first felt the Lord's calling to ministry at The Oaks in the fall of 2008. Since then, they have been pursuing this calling. Now they live and work at the camp full time. Mario is skilled in a variety of construction trades and has been recruited for the maintenance department at The Oaks Camp. He has also worked as an adventure guide and outdoor educator in the mountains of Southern California, so he assists The Oaks’ adventure and outdoor education departments as needed.
Mario and Heather have been married since 2003 and have two children. Their son is Riley Colt, and their daughter is Sage. Both are avid outdoor enthusiasts, preferring playing outside in our hills & forest to almost anything – except a good cuddle with a dog. They love to share these joys with friends and campers who come to The Oaks.
Mario and Heather are excited about the opportunities they have to invest together in the spiritual lives of the guests the Lord brings to the camp. They each work daily with their fellow camp staff members to make The Oaks a Christ-centered experience for all who live and visit there!
