Mike and Maggie Zuniga

Mike and Maggie met in 1993 while working at The Oaks-- their first summer as summer staff. Since then they worked every summer until 1998. It was then that they really got to know each other and began to date officially in August of that year. When they were married in April of 2000 they felt God was calling then to full time ministry with World Impact in Watts, CA, just two hours south of The Oaks. While in Watts, Maggie worked as a teacher at World impact's elementary school. Mike was a community minister. In 2002 they moved to Fresno to do church planting. There, Mike and Maggie helped plant and establish two churches, one being just a "youth church". In 2003 Maggie became the L.I.T (Leaders In Training) program director; a three-year program for high school teens from across the U.S. Each year there are 20 teens in the program.  In 2007, Mike and Maggie adopted their son Jonathan. In September of 2008, the whole family moved to The Oaks where they now work. Maggie continues to lead the L.I.T program while Mike is in a support role to her. Mike helps in landscaping but also focuses in hosting groups. Mike and Maggie have a passion to work with teens-- especially those from the inner city.
