Information Needed Before Your Retreat

The attached document contains all of the information that will be needed a minimum of two weeks before your retreat. Adventure requests must be submitted a minimum of 3 weeks before your retreat. Below is a form that you can submit the necessary information by email to your OAKS representative.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is smoking allowed at THE OAKS?

A: Smoking is allowed only in parking lots due to high fire danger?

 

Q: What if our numbers are lower than our minimum?

A: Please refer to item 7 of the rental agreement.

 

Q: When is the pool open?

A: The pool is open from Mothers Day until Labor day.

 

Q: What time can we arrive?

A: A set-up crew may arrive 1 hour before your contracted arrival time. All others may arrive any time after the time reflected on the rental agreement.

 

Q: When is payment due?

A: Payment is due by the end of your retreat.

 

Q: What time do we need to be out of our sleeping rooms?

A: The check-out time is 9:30 a.m. on the last day of your retreat.

 

Q: Can we skip a meal?

A: Guests should plan to attend all meals.

 

Q: What if our church doesn't have insurance?

A: Contact THE OAKS as soon as possible to find out the current need of liability insurance.

 

Q: What is the charge for first aid?

A: Please refer to item 17 of the rental agreement.

 

Q: What do additional meeting rooms cost?

A: In most cases, but not always, meeting rooms are an additional $75 per room.

 

Q: Can additional people come for the day? What would that cost?

A: People may come for only a day if they would like to. The cost is $11 per person plus the cost of meals. Please contact THE OAKS for the latest cost per meal.

 

Q: Does everyone need a medical and liability release?

A: California State Law requires that THE OAKS have a medical and liability form from every person who attends THE OAKS no matter the age.
