Tom and Lisa Lorson

Tom is the Primary Host of THE OAKS Camp and Conference Center. In this role, Tom looks after a team of hosts taking care of all guest group needs. This includes evaluating existing  procedures of the camp and initiating new actions that improve the service to the campers. In addition Tom also enjoys teaching Archery and other adventure activities such as team building, paintball, leap of faith and the high ropes course. Lisa serves in various areas of the camp as well. She enjoys leading crafts, leading worship and serving on several committees. Her love for the community is shown through a church plant in Lake Hughes and being actively involved with the Ladies Bible study group.

Prior to starting a full time position with World Impact they begin serving Christ as a couple with Campus Life Youth for Christ and were leaders in their home church...Tom was an AWANA commander as well as a game leader, while Lisa led the 5th and 6th grade girls. Lisa also has served on several worship teams over the years.

​Tom and Lisa have served in camping ministry for over 20 years, seventeen of them at THE OAKS. Their main focus is to represent guest groups visiting THE OAKS...making their experience the best it can be. They are passionate about what THE OAKS stands for, "Changing lives, Impacting communities. Pursuing God's heart for the poor."

Both Tom and Lisa have the benefit of expanding their education. They are currently taking TUMI classes to continue their knowledge on God's heart for the poor and how He uses His people to expand the Kingdom of Heaven.
